Tips for personalizing your Wellness Toolbox

The most captivating tool of all is the Wellness Toolbox. I'm not sure if anyone else shares my views, but sometimes I don't feel centered. It's usually from lack of awareness. I've decided to reach out to everyone who is using WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Planning) and share some tips and ideas!

Once I have my wonderful list of Wellness Tools, I find a container. The container doesn't have to be anything fancy. If you have any ideas to add to the list, I welcome them!

Some of the ideas I have heard have been...

~shoebox,

~Tupperware container,

~egg carton (depending on how much you want to put into it... you can blow out the yolk and make little Wellness People. Just as an example, you can make a gardener egg, an egg with a phone, one with a stamp on it, one with arms stretched out for a hug, etc.

~box of chocolates (the paper on the Hershey Kisses can be Wellness Tools!),

~an old coffee creamer container,

~a Ziploc bag (even though it's not a box),

~a balloon (include pieces of paper with your Wellness Tools on them, fold them up very tiny, and when you're ready... fill the balloon up with air, and when it deflates... (hopefully) one of the pieces of paper would of come out),

~take pieces of paper and, using a hole puncher, make a necklace with a jewlery box (great idea when you are planning to attend a party).

New friends, family members, and supporters can share your Wellness Tools with you!

  1. Hi Daphne (and David),

I just wanted to say that I really like this idea! I sometimes forget to use my wellness tools - even the ones that would be most obvious....and I think that making a project out of them is a good way to not only put a visual with the stuff you've written down, but to sort of help it gel in your mind during the process so it commits to memory better! LOVE the egg people!!! lol
